Flowering Flourishes

I used a duo of stamp sets to create this Thank You card, including Mixed Bunch and Flowering Flourishes. This is a double-layer card which means, I trimmed up two pieces of Whisper White card stock and adhered them with temporary glue stick just to stamp the flourishes. I then separated them and layered them on Rich Razzleberry cardstock, then re-alligned to create the double-layer look. The flower is from Mixed Bunch, one of my favorite stamp sets.

Cardstcok: Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White

The leaves are stamped in Lucky Limeade and shaded with Always Artichoke. I added Pearl Basic Jewels for a little bling. The sentiment is from Bring on the Cake.

Artisan Embellishments Kit

This shabby chic Valentine was created using the new Artisan Embellishments Kit (129328) found in the new Spring Occasions catalog. This kit provides a sampling of ribbon buttons, tags and doilies - just enough supplies to spark your creativity and make a lovely romantic Valentine.

To make this card, I sanded Real Red Coordinations cardstock (129320) to give it the vintage look. The Coordinations cardstock has a white core that shows through when sanded. I pleated the More Amore Designer Series Paper for the bottom layer of the card. The heart is from the Hearts a Flutter (129252) stamp set and stamped in Real Red ink. The xoxo image is from the My Little Valentine 4 piece stamp set (132242). Order the My Little Valentine set and receive a FREE Sealed With Love Simply Sent Kit - a $7.95 value. This offer is available only until January 21.

Of course the embellishments and ribbon are from the Artisan Embellishments Kit. This kit contains 2 designer tags, 4 designer ticket stubs, scalloped lace ribbon, cotton lace ribbon, large oval lace ribbon, seam binding, paper flowers, resin hearts and flowers, buttons, and paper doilies. Check out the Spring Occasions catalog for this and more stamping supplies from Stampin' Up! Don't have a Spring catalog? Email me at edie.bunting@yahoo.com.

Hearts a Flutter Valentine

Here is another take on the Hearts a Flutter stamp set currently offered in the Spring Occasions mini catalog.

For this card, I layered Basic Black cardstock and various designs from the More Amore Designer Series Paper collection. I stamped the cute hearts in Real Red and Primrose Petals inks on Very Vanilla cardstock and then punched them out with a 1" Square punch. These were then layered on slips of Basic Black cardstock punched using the Postage Stamp punch.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out using the Fancy Label punch.

Finally, a Real Red designer button was added to give the card a bit more balance. I did not have black cord or ribbon to embellish the button, so I trimmed a piece of Basic Black cardstock very thin and threaded it through the button holes to give the button a finished look and to add a bit more contrast.

Recipe:

Stamp Sets: Hearts a Flutter, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla and More Amore Designer Series Paper
Inks: Real Red, Primrose Petals, Basic Black
Other: 1" Square Punch, Postage Stamp Punch, Fancy Label Punch and Designer Button.

Feeling Sentimental Sneak Peek

I have for you today a sneak peek at a new Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Feeling Sentimental. Sale-A-Bration begins January 22 and during that time, you will earn a FREE stamp set or other stamping supplies of your choice with every qualifying order of $50 or more. Feeling Sentimental is just one of those sets you may choose FREE.

For this set of three cards, I inked the focal images with Early Espresso and stamped them on Very Vanilla card stock. After carefully trimming them out, I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink and adhered them to a collage background created by stamping En Francais and the images from Clockworks stamp sets. These was then adhered to layers of Fan Fair Designer Series Paper and Early Espresso card stock.

The sentiments are from Itty Bitty Banners and cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits. Itty Bitty Banners is found in the annual catalog, but is also offered as a FREE stamp set during Sale-A-Bration.

The postcard background for the bicycle card is actually a die cut found in the Fan Fair Designer Series Paper pack. I trimmed it out, inked the edges and stamped a bit more background on it using stamps from the Clockworks set before adhering the bicycle.

The "Hello" tags on the phone booth card were stamped using the Tiny Tags stamp set and punched using the Jewelry Tag punch. This stamp set and technique is such a favorite of my stampers, that I must include it in the design of at least one card for each stamp camp or they are thoroughly disappointed.

The background on the ferris wheel card is stamped using the Netting background stamp and stamps from the Clockworks set.

Close ups of all three cards are here for you.

Recipe:

Stamp Sets:  Feeling Sentimental, Itty Bitty Banners and Tiny Tags, Clockworks for background, En Francaise and Netting background stamps
Card stock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Fan Fair Designer Series Paper
Inks: Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake
Other: Bitty Banner Framelit dies, Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Vintage Trinkets

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Remember you can shop anytime at my Stampin' Up! on-line store anytime at www.ediestamps.stampinup.net, but if you wish to earn these stamp sets, you will have to wait until January 22.

UDI Color Challenge #116

The Utah Divas International color challenge this week is Marina Mist, Pretty In Pink, Bashful Blue, River Rock and Whisper White. Of course, this mix of Soft Subtles inspired me to make a baby card.

The card that I made for you features a focal image from one of my favorite sets, Button Buddies. To create this card, I first adhered a patchwork blanket of Designer Series Paper to a layer of Marina Mist cardstock. I then stamped the Button Buddies piggie in Marina Mist on Whisper White cardstock and embellished his snout with a Pretty In Pink button. The sentiment is from the Ciao Baby (129648) set, which you can find in the new Spring Occasions catalog. Stampin' Up provided us with a new 7/8" Scalloped Circle Punch (129404) to go along with this set. For a finishing touch, I added a slip of Marina Mist 3/8" Striped Organdy Ribbon (129292), which is also a new offering in the Spring Catalog. The ribbon comes in Melon Mambo (129293) and Old Olive (129291) as well.

Thank you for stopping by today to check out my UDI Color Challenge inspired card. Check out what the other stampers created for you at UDI by clicking here. Have a great day and Happy Stampin'! EdieB

Secret Garden Bundle

Hello Stampers! Today I have a birthday card I made for you using the new Secret Garden Bundle (131099 clear mount) from the Spring Occasions catalog. This bundle includes a matching stamp set and set of framelit dies which eliminates the need to hand cut the intricate flower patterns of your stamped images.

For this card, I stamped the flowers in Riding Hood Red and leaves in Always Artichoke. They are mounted on an oval frame which I cut using the new Ovals Collection framelit dies (129381), which you will also find in the Spring Occasions catalog. The Whisper White oval is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots (117335) embossing folder and the outer oval frame is cut from Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (125406). The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs (122497) stamp set and stamped in Riding Hood Red. I hand trimmed the banner and mounted it on a slip of Riding Hood Red cardstock. Finally, the flowers are accented with a Pearl Basic Jewel (119247).
Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Secret Garden, Petite Pairs
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper
Inks: Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke
Other: Secret Garden Framelit Dies, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Pearl Basic Jewels

I hope you enjoyed this card today. Thank you for stopping and Happy Stampin'! EdieB

Stamp to the Max Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamp to the Max January Blog Hop. This month we are featuring stamp sets and supplies from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. If you are hopping along with us this morning, you may have arrived from Laura Widdison's blog. I am number seven on the list of bloggers.

I am sharing with you today a set of three Valentine's cards I made featuring the Hearts a Flutter stamp set (129252 clear/129249 wood), matching Framelits Dies (130159) and More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper (129309). If you love the Hearts a Flutter set and can't live without matching dies, Stampin' Up! has bundled these products for us at a discount (131097 clear/131098 wood).

This layout is a simple one which I go to often without regret. It not only showcases the fabulous Designer Series Paper but also the different shapes offered to us in this new bundle, including the flags and hearts. The soft colors of the More Amore DSP are romantic and just perfect for your sweetheart or friend lucky enough to receive a Valentine. I was not a fan of pairing Real Red and Primrose Petals at first, but love the result when set to card. I added a lot of texture to these cards using both the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (120175) and the Square Lattice Folder (119976).

Recipe:

Stamp Sets: Hearts A Flutter, Wacky Wishes (hostess set)
Cardstock: Primrose Petals, Real Red, Pool Party, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Ink: Real Red, Basic Black, Primrose Petals Classic Inks
Other: Hearts A Flutter Framelit Dies, Vintage Wallpaper & Square Lattic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, Small Heart punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Swallowtail

The Stampin' Up! Spring Occasions catalog is live today! This catalog is one of the best ever with a wonderful selection of new stamping products, including this amazing butterfly background stamp - Swallowtail. The detail of this stamp is perfect for heat embossing. I embossed it in three colors: Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo, and Tempting Turquoise.

This simple set of Thank You notes was a quick project. I stamped the Swallowtail with Versamark ink and heat embossed them in the above-mentioned colors; then, adhered the images onto Early Espresso cardstock. The sentiment is from my favorite set, Curly Cute. A simple embellishment of a knotted slip of ribbon finishes the look.

Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Swallowtail (129216), Curly Cute (120510)
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Inks: Versamark, Early Espresso
Other: Embossing Powder in Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Early Espresso 1/4 Satin Ribbon

Hope you enjoyed this set of cards. You may shop anytime at my Stampin' Up! website - www.ediestamps.stampinup.net. Have a great day and Happy Stampin'!
